Goodwill partnered with Pizzano to build out their new 15,000 square-foot location in Centreville. Existing conditions were discovered during demolition that triggered a critical structures review from the county, putting the project schedule in jeopardy.
Pizzano collaborated with the tenant and architect to devise a plan that split the project into two separate building permits. This allowed the tenant to occupy the space on grand opening day and address its storage space after the fact.
“As an architect you design for the present, with an awareness of the past, for a future which is essentially unknown.”
