While constructed with high quality materials, Dupont Fabros Technology’s existing space featured rows of closed-in office spaces flanking long, narrow corridors illuminated by dark, fading light. The client wanted a less-clustered space with more natural light and imagery to evoke the brand.
Pizzano partnered with DVA Architects to deliver a visually transparent and connective space that took full advantage of the dramatic views and daylight available. Dupont Fabros Technology’s branding was displayed throughout, perhaps most prominently in the reception area, where a sculptural art feature wall with integrated LED lights greets clients entering the space.
“As an architect you design for the present, with an awareness of the past, for a future which is essentially unknown.”
