The Conversion of 99 Apartments to Co-Living

Bob Pizzano
President

Quarters, the world’s largest co-living platform, leased 67k SF at The Highline at Union Market, a recently completed 315k SF apartment building. Quarters and W5 Group, a leading investor in Innovative Living, are converting 99 of the building’s 318 units to co-living space with 239 bedrooms. Each of the units will be transformed into two-, three-, & four-bedroom co-living suites with common spaces. Residents will enjoy the building’s 13k SF amenities including the rooftop infinity pool, fitness center, chef kitchen, co-working lounge and much more.

Pizzano Contractors has been trusted with the unit conversions, and the project will also include full renovations of the building lobby and amenities. Premium finishes feature throughout the furnished units and amenities.

“We’re excited to be playing a small part in bringing an innovative housing solution to a burgeoning neighborhood like Union Market.” Mike Denisar, senior project manager with Pizzano, remarked. “The finished product will be fantastic, and a great option for community-minded people.”

The Highline will be Quarters’ largest in the United States and is ideally placed near Union Market food hall, the Metro, and great retail and restaurants.

“This project is a perfect fit for the up-and-coming neighborhood of Union Market,” Ralph Winter, principal of W5 Group, said in a statement. “We are offering something that is quite unique: an opportunity, through your place of residence, to be a part of a community of likeminded individuals and share in the experience of home.”
