Building relationships since 1958
Celebrating 60 Years of Sustainable Building
Every job is personal to us. We leverage finesse, artistry and fine workmanship to create extraordinary spaces because we understand that we are building a personal environment for people to thrive in – an environment that should allow you to think, be productive and relax. When we build a place that people enjoy being in, we have created a Pizzano space, a personal place for every customer that becomes the cornerstone of a lasting relationship.

Pizzano Contractors was an early adapter in the “Green Building” movement and continues to demonstrate leadership in this area. An example of this commitment is 801 17th Street, the first LEED Platinum certified building in Washington DC. Pizzano Contractors has been involved with this project since its inception in 2009, including work on common areas and tenant lobbies, as well as 128,000 square feet of space for several of the building’s tenants. Pizzano employees hold accreditations and continue to attend seminars in green building and LEED building practices.

Humble Beginnings
Pizzano Contractors was established in 1958 by Robert T. Pizzano, Sr. Operating out of a home office and the back of a 1947 Ford panel truck, his goal was simple: establish the premier law-firm, association and corporate interior construction firm on the east coast.
