Pizzano Contractors began
work for Covington & Burling by remodeling their original offices in 1976.
Since then Pizzano has played an integral role in the on-going facility planning
process, remodeling 300,000 square feet of offices and construction. Projects
have included many high level finishes, intricate millwork, computer facilities,
an employee cafeteria, executive offices, general offices, reception areas and
conference centers. As a part of their construction, Pizzano has always
provided consulting services to the partnership on space planning and
construction costs. Recently Pizzano has just completed a 4 year, 7 phase (21
sub phase) project that included complete upgrades of the ceiling systems, HVAC
and lighting along with custom millwork secretarial stations and custom printer
areas and all new specialized finishes. This also included a state of the art
conference center with complete food service for this 270,000 square foot
project. Pizzano worked cooperatively with the owner as well as Gensler
Architects to ensure the project was brought in on time and on budget.
